Privacy policy

Last updated August 25, 2026

Pomsoul Wellness (“Pomsoul”, “we”) is a small wellness business based in Halton Region, Ontario, Canada. We collect as little personal information as we can, we never sell it, and this page explains, in plain language, what we hold, why, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in accordance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), Canada’s federal privacy law.

What we collect

  • Account details: your name, email address, optional phone number and timezone, when you claim free classes, buy a membership or create an account.
  • Practice preferences: a posture preference and any mobility notes you choose to share so classes can be adapted for you. These are always optional, and we treat them as sensitive: they are used only by your instructor, only to teach you well.
  • Payment information: payments are processed by Stripe, our payment processor. Your card number goes directly to Stripe; we never see or store it. We keep records of what you purchased and for how much, as tax law requires.
  • Retreat safety details: for retreats we ask for an emergency contact. It is used only if something happens at the retreat, then deleted after the retreat ends.
  • Correspondence: messages you send us through the contact form or by email.

We do not run advertising trackers, and we do not collect information about you from other companies.

Why we collect it

To run your classes and send you the links to join them; to give you access to recordings you have purchased; to process payments and refunds; to adapt the teaching to your body when you have told us something about it; and to answer your messages. That is the whole list. We only use your information for a new purpose if we ask you first.

Email, consent and anti-spam law

Emails about your own classes, purchases and account (join links, receipts, schedule changes) are sent because you need them to use what you signed up for. Marketing email, such as news about upcoming seasons or retreats, is sent only with your express consent, as Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) requires. Every marketing email identifies us and includes a working unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect promptly. Unsubscribing from news never affects the emails you need for classes you have booked.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only with the service providers that make the platform work: our payment processor (Stripe), our email delivery service, our video and recording host, and our database host. Each receives only what it needs to do its job. Some of these providers store data outside Canada, principally in the United States, where it is subject to the laws of that jurisdiction. We do not sell, rent or trade personal information, and we disclose it only where the law requires us to.

How long we keep it

Account and practice information is kept while your account is active and removed when it is no longer needed. Purchase records are kept for seven years because Canadian tax law requires it. Contact-form messages are kept only as long as the conversation needs.

Your rights

Under PIPEDA you may ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, withdraw consent, or ask us to delete what we are not legally required to keep. Email info@pomsoul.com and we will respond within thirty days. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Safeguards and cookies

Data moves over encrypted connections, access is limited to the people who need it to serve you, and passwords are handled by our authentication provider. We never see them. The site uses only the cookies needed to keep you signed in. There are no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Changes and contact

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will say so plainly on this page and, for significant changes, by email. Questions about privacy can go to Stephanie Colwell directly at info@pomsoul.com or (905) 299-7636.
